AMCo – BRITISH BASED GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL IN TOP 7% OF UK EMPLOYERS WITH IIP GOLD ACCREDITATION
AMCo, the British based global pharmaceutical company that is now part of Concordia Healthcare Corp, has been awarded the "Investors in People Gold" standard. This puts AMCo in the top 7% of accredited organisations across the UK who can demonstrate the highest standards of people management.
AMCo supplies niche speciality medicines through direct presence and global distributor networks to over 100 countries (including China, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America). In October 2015 AMCo was bought by Canadian Concordia Healthcare Corp. The IIP award follows a 3 year period of significant growth in the business. AMCo used IIP as a way of creating a professional operating platform on which to move the business forward during this period of rapid change.
Investors in People is the UK's leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, and provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.
Commenting on the award, Marianne Dunn, Head of HR at AMCo said: "We were so pleased to be the first UK pharmaceutical company to reach Silver standard in the UK in April this year, so to now receive Gold accreditation is a great achievement. To be part of the top 7% of UK employers with IIP Gold status will help AMCo continue to be successful and provide great service to our customers."
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: "We'd like to congratulate AMCo on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. AMCo should be extremely proud of their achievement."
